Dispelling the myths!

In talking with people I am surprised at how much information is out there regarding business but how many people don't know how, where to research for it or even what they are looking for.

They read the sales page hype that's put out there to entice a person into thinking its all easy and a nothing is required but to sit back an let the money roll on in. The companies that have paid to have these sales pages created have done this so they have spun the web to draw you in, and a lot of people get
caught up in all the glitz, glamor and so called income that they have been told is there. So most are led blindly into the fold of never never land of where they are left disillusioned and a few thousand dollars poorer.

What I am going to try and do is try and set the stage for what really goes on and how to actually choose a business, an opportunity that is suited to you, not someone else and their pocket books. So put the credit card away and lets really think about things before going off half cocked!

Is this not the way to work?

I found it. For me it is table 21 at the Sandbar in Middle Park, right on the beach! I sit here in wonderment as the aromas of great food and perfect coffees are delivered right on cue.

I revel in the taste of my latte while looking at endless views of the bay, that seemingly go on forever. The water lapping on the shore in a lazy sort of way, wanting to meander towards the shoreline deciding if it should change its mind or not. All the while, people around me come and go, conversations changing for what seems to be only seconds but I don’t pay much attention to anything but the view and my work.

Hmmm you thought I had forgot about that didn’t you? Don't worry, I haven’t. This is my office today and funny as it sounds, I get a lot done being in a place like this, in a very short period of time.

Today, I am answering a few emails, among other odds and ends. But the real reason I am here is to work on a program, on personal development for business. Oh, I cringe as I hear all the groans, followed by, ‘Not another one’.

I can say this one will be different. Why you ask? Because I have been thru so many myself and I know what doesn’t work for me and why they didn’t work. And I can tell that you are sitting there with a few reasons of your own, from your own experiences.

This is what I need your help for. I want to know what you want in a program. What didn't work for you, and what tools you need to become successful. Please take 5 minutes out of your busy day, and help me create the perfect program for you. And to make it worth your while, I am offering 5 programs for free – so fill out the survey for your chance to win.

What have you got to lose?

Oh yes before I forget, technology being what it is, the email and name fill in boxes do eventually show up for you to complete, if you want to but it seems you have to fill in all the other boxes first. We are working on trying to fix it but so far we can not determine what the problem is. Sorry!

Now its back to work for me.

Twittering

I fought it all the way, what good could this twittering do? Who has the time to read 140 letters about anything. I mean our lives are so busy and to stop and read short little blurbs from next door or half way around the globe.

I have been surprised many times in my life and I never thought this would be one of them but I am overwhelmed and touched by the contact that can be made. How this twittering can touch someone in little ways.

I was pleasantly delighted to have one of my followers (GiantCheesePuff) let me know he went to the link and watched, 'If today was your last day' by Nickelback (proudly I can say they are a Canadian band from Hanna, Alberta).

Now if that isn't an amazing tribute to the power of computers and how we can be touched in some way from someone we have never met, I don't know what is.

So Geminitravels, thanks for not giving up and finally getting me to Twitter to see a new side of what can be accomplished in 140 characters.
